WRITING PROBLEMS OF STUDENTS WHO LEARN ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract
English is a very important language which is viewed as a way to globalize, modernize and internationalize its country for almost all countries of the world. As a result, it is being taught and learned in every part of the world as a global language (Crystal, 2003). Learning process is divided into several stages so that every level of learning can lead learners to the next level progressively and successively and the transition from the basic entry level to upper levels must be smooth and easy as possible. Furthermore, language teaching is most successful when it focuses on the useful outcomes of languages learning, for example on what level students should acquire any specific skills. Establishing minimum academic requirements serves multiple purposes, including helping students assess their knowledge and refine their study techniques to enhance their linguistic competence and cognitive skills (Nunan, 2003).
