USING GAMES IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

The integration of games in foreign language teaching has gained significant attention due to their effectiveness in enhancing motivation, engagement, and retention. Games provide an interactive environment where students can practice linguistic skills in a low-anxiety setting. This paper explores the pedagogical benefits, types of games, and strategies for effective implementation in language instruction. Empirical studies highlight the positive impact of gamification on vocabulary acquisition, pronunciation, and communicative competence.
