THE IMPORTANCE OF PEER AND SELF-ASSESSMENT IN TEACHING PROCESS

Abstract

In the latest educational settings innovative assessment has taken an important role and its impact on learning efficiency has been emphasized considerably since one of the main aims of modern teaching is making attempts to draw attention to collaborative and co-operative learning. This cooperation is explained as working together in order to reach mutual goals or aims. Aimed at increasing learners’ role in classrooms, this new teaching system tries to provide close connection between teaching and assessment with an active engagement of the students in the assessment process.
