THE PEDAGOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF DEVELOPING PUPILS' INTEREST IN READING BOOKS

Abstract
Reading books is an essential component of educational development, especially in the context of language acquisition and cognitive growth. It is widely recognized that fostering a love for reading among students is crucial for their academic success, particularly in language subjects such as English. However, in the digital age, where many students are distracted by electronic devices, the challenge of developing a genuine interest in reading books has become more pronounced. Understanding the pedagogical and psychological factors that influence pupils' attitudes toward reading can help educators implement effective strategies to foster a love of books and reading. This paper explores these aspects and highlights effective methods for developing reading interest in pupils.
