Abstract

”Go Tell It on the Mountain” is a complex book that addresses a wide range of issues and presents several stories. In its most basic form, it is the tale of a little child maturing. As the boy's tale is entwined with that of his father, aunt, and mother, it becomes more complex. In addition, Go Tell It on the Mountain tells the narrative of how racism, religion, and family expectations and views affect those who are trying to live.
